I had a similar issue a few weeks ago where Google and Youtube were not showing as secure connection, but it had resolved itself by the following day. Also, I haven't taken my computer elsewhere to try to connect to a different internet network. Unfortunately, I do not have a second device to connect to the network check whether the issue is specific to my computer. I've run full Malwarebytes and Norton Internet Security scans but they haven't detected anything. The issue appears to be exactly the same using both Chrome and Firefox browsers. Solved It only does this with google, and I've restarted my computer and it keeps showing this, without letting me get around it. I'm not sure where in the chain this issue is arising, but I thought it worth investigating whether it was an ISP or router issue with my BT Infnity subscription. Firefox keeps telling me that 'This Connection is Untrusted' when I try to go to Google. Some websites have the secure padlock, such as Google, Wikipedia, Twitter and my email, while most others do not, including major websites such as BBC, CNN and my bank. Most websites are showing as having an insecure connection - that is, left of the URL bar there is either no secure connection showing or it says "Not secure". I have made a firewall rule that blocks google udp 443 so i have that set to REJECT or should it be Drop? and is there a different rule i have to make for Firefox?Ĥ.I've been having this issue for three days now. Are there any other services that might be scanning https other than the options in the firewall rule?ģ. Are there any other settings that i need to change?Ģ. I have even tried after disabling the web filter polices but still no luck.Ī few computers on the network are having problems with chrome and not firefox. I just installed the xg firewall and this started happening after i made a few custom firewall rules and a few web filter policies. The version of Firefox is the same on all of the laptops.

I dont have https decryption on and i have even turned off http and ftp scanning. I have not installed any certificates or have never enabled https scanning since i started using the xg firewall. And there is no option to add an exception either. If you are trying to access an embedded video in Moodle and you see a blank white space, the browser is most likely blocking insecure content on the page. Some pc's in my network have no problem and some have problems that wont allow any google related https website to be opened with firefox. I am having problems with web opening websites using Firefox.
